Xbox Missing Some Physical Releases & We Don't Like That!

Most of us gamers don't really care how we play our games as long as we are playing and having fun. According to gaming stats, most games these days are bought digitally on consoles. Gaming on PC is pretty much 100 percent since the gaming outlets don't sell physical discs for PC anymore. According to Digital Entertainment and Retail Association (ERA), 89.5 percent of games were bought digitally. It is scary that just about eleven percent of games were bought physically. It is scary because I and a few other gamers love to buy our favorite games on a disc. We love to own physical games as they look nice when you collect and put them together. To me, it is nice to own physical games as those game-disc boxes show cool cover art and they show a good summary of the game's story and combat. Video games are art and the best way to showcase them is by actually owning them physically.

Now, to be honest, I'm not a big collector as I don't buy all the games physically. I buy only my favorites or the games with really cool cover art. At times, I buy games digitally on the Xbox and PlayStation stores, and other times, I play games via subscription services such as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus. So yes, I don't limit myself to buying games physically only. However, I will be very upset when game developers and publishers stop producing physical games. I honestly think it will happen with how most gamers are consuming their games and how Xbox sometimes skips physical releases of first-party and multi-platform games.

Does PlayStation skip physical releases? I'm not so sure if they do, but I know they have physical releases for NieR Automata and Guilty Gear Strive. Don't really care about NieR Automata (good game, just not for me) but I really wanted a physical release of Guilty Gear on Xbox, as I really like that game and the box art is fire. If you are wondering why I won't get a physical release of Guilty Gear on PlayStation, it is because I play my multi-platform games on Xbox due to Xbox being my preferred console and I love my achievements points.

Hi-Fi Rush, a game from Xbox first-party studio Tango Gameworks, can't be bought physically. You can buy the standard and deluxe editions at GameStop, but that's just the digital version (excellent job, team Xbox). Also High on Life, is not an Xbox first-party game but it was released on Xbox and PC last year and is not available to be purchased physically. Kinda sad if you ask me but I'm really hoping physical games don't go away, but how can we prevent that? We can only ask, so let me try.

"Xbox, I really appreciate all that you have done for gaming and your fans, but please don't be one of the reasons why physical games go extinct. We gamers would love to see you support us who love to own and collect physical games. I am glad you guys are not skipping physical releases of the upcoming small title games like Afterimage and Asterigos: Curse of the Stars. I look forward to buying them on day one and enjoying them to the fullest."

Will Xbox Ever Beat PlayStation In Sales?

We all have our favorites. Favorite food, favorite city, favorite movie, favorite band, favorite game, and favorite console (of course there is more stuff but I was just giving you some examples). I love video games. To be more specific, I love pure action adult games with excellent looking graphics. I apologize to all those who love indie games and or games that look cartoonish, but that's just not my thing. To be honest, I don't understand how so many of twenty-plus-year-old play games like Cuphead, Zelda, Mario games, Untitled Goose, and more. Not saying they are bad games and don't have challenging missions, but the graphics of those games and how the characters appear and behave makes them look very kiddish. I bought myself 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' because I needed to know why this game is considered a masterpiece and one of the best games on Nintendo Switch. Not gonna lie, I was very excited as the game was loading and about to start. Th...

The Initiative's Perfect Dark Should Be The Best Game On Xbox Series X.

The third year of the Xbox Series X/S console generation is almost over. On November 10th, 2023, most media outlets will be writing their thoughts about how they feel about Xbox series consoles. Basically, we will be getting a three-year report card from IGN, Kotaku (definitely don't read their report), GameSpot, Forbes Gaming, and so on. I will also write a report of my own for the Xbox Series X console as I own it and have been playing on it since November 12th, 2020. The upcoming AAA game, Starfield will have a major impact on the report card for the Xbox Series X/S consoles. If Starfield is great, Xbox Series X/S consoles might get a B+ or A-. If Starfield flops, the average could go down all the way to C or C- (Kotaku will definitely give an F or D+ at best).       I'm looking forward to playing Starfield day one and see what it has to offer to us gamers. However, even if Starfield is a masterpiece, my grade for the Series X console won't change. I'll explain wh...

Xbox Game Pass Can Be Very Controversial On Twitter.

There are some things in this world that are hard to explain. These days people attempt to do weird and stupid things to catch attention. If you post something nice and educational on the internet, chances are you will get 10 to 40 likes if you have 1000 followers on Twitter or Instagram. If you post something controversial, you could get 10K likes and a whole lot of engagement in the comment section like no problem. In the gaming community, unless you are a popular streamer, when you post an excellent gameplay clip or anything positive related to gaming, you get a few cool gamers liking your post and maybe retweeting it. You might get a few bots on Twitter retweeting your post as well. If you post anything negative or anything to devalue one platform, your tweet will get retweeted by so many people with whom you never even interacted on the internet. Half of them will be applauding you and the other half will call you a clown. Either way, you get the attention. ...
