Patiently Waiting For These Thrilling Adventures.

In my previous blog, I talked about all the games that I'm looking forward to playing in the fall of 2023. I wrote that with lots of excitement yet, only four of you read it. Anyways, this year is already stacked with games but there is no denying that 2024, 2025, and 2026 are also going to be loaded with some extraordinary games. I'm gonna just list some of the games that are on everyone's radar and I'll briefly mention a few under-the-radar games that I'm looking forward to playing in 2024, 2025, and 2026.      Games that most of us can't wait to play are Marvel's Wolverine, Star Wars Outlaws, Star Wars Eclipse, Wonder Woman, Fable, Perfect Dark, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and to some degree, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. I know a lot of gamers were really disappointed with the gameplay of Suicide Squad that Rocksteady showed us earlier this year, but I'm still excited about it. This is the same developer ...

There Are Just Too Many Games To Play This Fall And I Love It!

Today is June 21st, 2023 and I won't be starting a new game until most likely September. We have Starfield, Lies of P, and Cyberpunk 2077's expansion (Phantom Liberty) coming out in September. I know Final Fantasy XVI is releasing tomorrow but it is not for me. I have tried two other Final Fantasy games (VII Remake and VX) and they both were amazing but again, not for me. For my current gaming rotation, I have been playing Mass Effect 2, Street Fighter 6, and just went back to Halo Infinite last night to play its brand-new season. Halo is fun and I don't care what anyone says.       Mass Effect 2 is basically a brand new game for me as I never played it before. So far, I'm enjoying my time with it and I'm looking forward to playing Mass Effect 3. You guys might be wondering why in the year 2023 I'm not playing any story-driven or action-adventure games released in 2023. Well first, this year has already been one heck of a year for gaming, and I ha...

How The Gaming Community Has Helped Me Over The Years.

When I first started using Social Media back in 2006, I was told by my older siblings to not interact with strangers. I was told that most of the strangers would try to act like they are my friends but at the end of the day, they are just going to manipulate me and get me in some major trouble. At that time, I was only twelve years old and I was using Orkut as my social media platform to interact with family and friends. I don't know if any of you remember Orkut, but it was pretty cool back then and more popular than Facebook in Southeast Asia from 2004-2007.      Fast-forward to the year 2020, ten years after moving to the US, I started to interact with strangers on the internet (Twitter). Why? I wanted to interact with cool gamers because I discovered that not only do I love playing awesome games but I like to talk about them as well. Secondly, I had turned twenty-six by June 2020, so I knew who I could talk to and who I would need to avoid. As I star...

Xbox Games Showcase 2023 - A Special Event For All Xbox Fans.

June 11th, 2023 was a great day for Xbox fans. I don't have exact numbers of how many Xbox fans enjoyed the show and considered it a 9/10 or 10/10 show, but overall it seems like most of us really liked the show. Do I think it was perfect? No, but I honestly think it was the best show Xbox had done since the one they did in July 2020. Ryan McCaffrey, who is an Executive Editor at IGN and a big fan of Xbox, he ran a poll on Twitter for the fans to grade the Xbox Games Showcase. 7000 people voted in that poll and 86 percent of them said that the show was either an A or B. That's some high praise from the fans and Xbox indeed deserved it.       It was a special treat to see Fable, Avowed, Forza Motorsport (with release date), Starfield, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and finally some games by Compulsion Games and inXile Entertainment with South of Midnight and Clockwork Revolution respectively. Not everyone is going to play all seven of these games...

A Few Things Xbox Should Avoid At This Year's Showcase.

We are just two days away from the Xbox Games Showcase. We all are curious to see what will be presented at the showcase. Like everyone else, I have made some predictions for the show. Two games I really wanna see this Sunday are Fable and Avowed. I wanna see their gameplay and would love to get a release date or window for both of them. Also, I'm looking forward to the announcement of Gears 6. It has been almost four years now since the release of Gears 5. Hopefully, we get to see the next Coalition project on Sunday.      In this post, I'm not going to do any more predictions. Instead, I wanna talk about a few things that I don't want Xbox to present at their showcase. You might disagree with me on some or most of them, but that's okay. However, I would like you all to share on Twitter @dawer_hussain what you don't wanna see at the showcase. Okay, let's start.      First of all, we don't want to see a new controller at the Xbox Games S...

Dear Gamers, Play Your Games & Stop Arguing About Exclusives!

I consider myself lucky that even though I'm approaching the age of thirty, I still enjoy video games like a young kid. To be honest, I thought I won't be playing or enjoying games by the time I get done with college since it is hard to find time for gaming when you are working or taking care of your family. The other thing that came across my mind was that as I get older, I won't find video games as entertaining as I did when I was a teen. My brain was just not seeing or willing to process the fact that adults can play and make a living out of playing video games.       It was in the year 2019 (at 25 years old) when I discovered games can have movie-like stories and they are more than just mashing buttons to get further in the game. I was blown away when I first played games like Middle Earth: Shadow of War, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, God of War, and The Last of Us. Those games had excellent stories and writing, and they were all fun to play. Coul...
